Product: MAC Pro Longwear Lip Glass
Shade: Forever Rose
Price: Rs 1400
How to Use:
Apply lip gloss directly to lips, using the sponge tip applicator.
The MAC Pro Longwear Lip Gloss – Forever Rose was released as a part of the Office Hours collection and is now a part of their permanent range.
The packaging is same as their basic lip glass range in a glazed tube with a sponge tip applicator. The gloss is a bright strawberry pink with warm undertones. It has a slight coral tint but appears a bright pinkish-red on my lips when applied liberally. The gloss can be applied sheer or opaque depending on the look you desire. But the colour is beautiful and versatile in that can be dressed up or down depending on the time of the day and mood.
I am not a fan of sticky glosses as I find myself reaching out less to MAC glosses for this very reason. The texture is sticky and at times I had difficulty with the gloss applicator to layer on evenly in order to achieve the desired colour finish. I prefer using a lip brush for gloss application to spread the product evenly and ensure it doesn’t settle in to lip lines. That said it still does! Guess I need a bit of practice.
Once applied properly the product feels and looks good on the lips with a good colour payoff. It lasted about 6 hours with slight fading after 4hrs but kept my lips well moisturised.
The product is expensive so only buy it for its lovely colour unless ofcourse unlike me you do not have a problem with sticky glosses.
- Excellent pigmentation
- Good staying power
- Thick sticky texture
- Does not glide on smoothly
- Settles in to lip lines
